From the central Zaire, comes this fine sword of the Ngombe people. Very finely forged steel blade 18 inches long, 5 inches wide with step along its center nicely engraved and set with copper inserts. Wood handle with copper strip binding. Total length 22 ½ inches. Very good condition. No scabbard. An old catalog number is printed on the handle. The fine quality suggests that this sword is coming from an important collection and probably belonged to a high ranking person in the tribe.
