This dagger is a Bichwa, a rare blade in the Indian arsenal, meaning: ‘The Scorpion Sting’. It is old, late 17 or early 18 Century. The blade is double edged, re-curving, 7 inches long. The ring shaped handle is brass shaped as a creature, may be Yali the mythological powerful creature. Total length 11 inches. Very good condition. The small size of the handle suggest that this dagger was made for a youngster.
