This knife is Turkish, early 19 C. Single edge blade 9 inches long forged from fine wootz (Damascus, watered) steel. The grip is carved from pale green jade of good quality set with a small turquoise stone at the pommel. Steel bolsters with gold inlay decoration. Original scabbard covered with red velvet and mounted with pierced silver fittings. Total length 15 ½ inches. Very good condition.
