The Beja daggers with the big X shaped handle, sometimes known as Hadendoa or Beni Amer comes from the West South shores of the red sea. This one is a fine example with an 8 1/2 inches well forged blade, X shaped blackwood handle bound with silver wires and set with a silver pommel cover. The scabbard is tooled leather with silver mounts. Total length 13 ½ inches. Very good condition.
