A pair of spears of the Engganese people from Enggano island, South of Sumatra. Well made heavy blades 8 ½ inches long, one flat and one barbed with back pointing spikes. 57 inches wood hafts with fine engraved zigzag line. Very good condition. These spears are the national weapon of the Engganese people and are used for hunting, and fishing as well as ceremonial events. Very Rare.
