Good Omani Khanjar / Jambiya Dagger with Horn Hilt - 10765


A good Arab Khnjar / Jambiya dagger, late 19 to early 20 C. from Oman. It has an 6 ½ inches curved and dual edge well forged blade with a pronounced central rib. The grip is horn decorated with a silver front panel and mounted with chased silver collar. The scabbard is “L” shaped covered with leather elaborately embroidered with silver strips and wires, and mounted with chased filigree silver locket en suite with the hilt mounts. The belt attachment is made of complicate arrangements of silver rings and twisted silver wire. Total length is 12 inches. Good condition. Blade with scratches. Minor dents on the silver mounts.
