This Long dagger is Turkish, 18 C. with a slightly curved, massive blade of diamond cross section, forged from Sham steel (Low contrast Turkish type of wootz). The handle is carved from a single massive piece of walrus ivory. Silver scabbard with traces of old gilding. Blade 13 ½ inches. Total 19 ½. Very good condition.
