This fine Arab Jambiya Dagger is known as Mecca style characterized by the silver scabbard and uprising scabbard tip. It is not necessarily from Mecca and can be found in many regions around and as far as Hadramouth in South Yemen. Early to mid 20 C. The blade is of good quality, 7 ½ inches long double edge with a central rib. The grip is silver. The scabbard is a piece of arts on its own in heavy engraved and filigree silver. Very good condition. Minor pitted spots on the blade. Damaged pommel tips.
