A Punal dagger from the Philippines. These daggers are also known in the name of ‘Belt Kris’ and come in various sizes, from few inches to 15” long. This one is late 19 - early 20 C., 10 ˝” blade 2 inches wide, well forged and decorated with engraved design. The hilt is made from a typical light brown naturally grained wood with horn collar and cross guard. The scabbard is wood, bound with brass and iron bands. Total length 15”. Very good condition.
