This very fine Arab Jambiya Dagger is known as Mecca style characterized by the silver scabbard and uprising scabbard tip. It is not necessarily from Mecca and can be found in many regions around and as far as Hadramouth in South Yemen. Early to mid 20 C. The blade is of good quality, Big size, 9 inches long and almost 3 inches wide double edge with a central rib. The grip is silver finely engraved and set with filigree panels. The scabbard is a piece of arts on its own in heavy engraved and filigree silver. Very good condition. An outstanding piece for the serious collector of Arabic weapons.
