Rare Central Asian Eating Set - 10624


This trousse (eating set) is coming from Central Asia, probably Afghanistan or near by, early to mid 19 C. It includes a knife with a single edge 5 inches blade and a fork, both housed in a double compartment scabbard with an engraved brass cover. Handles are made of sectors of ivory and horn decorated with red painted circles and mother of pearl inserts. Total length 9 ½ inches. Very good condition. Minor damage to the scabbard.
