This heavy dagger is Indian, late 18 C. or a bit later. It has a heavy down curving blade with a pronounced T spine, forged from good Indian wootz steel (crystalline). The grips are carved from a dark green stone, riveted to the tang with silver rosettes on the rivets. Silver decorated grip strap and bolsters. Original leather covered scabbard with steel tip. Blade length 11 inches. Total 16 inches. Very good condition.
