This type of long Jambiya dagger is common in the Western regions of Arabia, Hijaz and Asir. Sometimes it is referred to by collectors as Wahabite style. The one offered here is of very good quality of most one offered on the market. The blade is plain, high carbon steel, 12 inches long. The handle is heavy chased and granulated silver. The scabbard is wood with big fine silver locket, brass chape and twisted silver wires to hold the belt in place (Belt now missing). Total length 22 inches. Very good condition. Blackened areas on the blade with pitted spots.
