Very Good Heavy Chopper, Sri Lanka (?) - 10560

We are not sure as for the origin of this interesting chopper. The blade is 8 inches long, 3 inches wide stamped with a maker mark and decorated with brass and copper inserts on the spine. The handle is finely carved in water buffalo black horn with a monster head pommel. Brass bolsters. Total length 13 inches. Very good condition. The general look of the handle as well as the bolsters shape reminds the handles of Sri Lanka Piha Kahetta knives, which supports our intuition as to the Sri Lanka origin.
