From India, probably late 18 – early 19 C, comes this heavy fighting Tulwar sword. The curved and fullered blade is 30 inches long, engraved and marked 40 on the spine and well balanced. The steel handle is of classical form and of rather large dimensions with very wide pommel disk. Original scabbard covered with very finely tooled leather. Total length 36 inches. Very good condition. Grinding signs on the blade and lightly reshaped tip. Small losses to the leather on the scabbard.
