A classical Yemenite dagger, a Jambiya (or more precisely Jannabiya), early to mid 20 C. Blade 8 inches long, almost 3 inches wide. Horn handle decorated with iron nails and imitation coins. Wood scabbard bound with colored brocade fabric and mounted with very fine gilded silver filigree chape, signed with a maker stamp (or silver proof mark) on the back. Very good condition. Bugs bite on the horn with later repairs.
