Up for sale is this good late 19 C. steel helmet from Persia. 7 ½ inch diameter, 14 inches tall (base to tip of pike). The helmet is shaped like horned devil head with an additional small horned devil head mounted on the top. A short pike is mounted at the top of the small devil head. The entire helmet is etched in a typical late 19 C. Qajar style with Arabic verses, human figures and floral design with light gold and silver koftgari inlay work. Very good condition. Losses to the inlay work.
