Very Good Jambiya Dagger from South Iraq - 10487

A very good example of a Jambiya dagger from Iraq, most probably from the South, Basra area. The deeply curving blade is 7 ½ inches long, with a flat diamond cross section. The hilt is carved from a solid piece of horn with a flared down curving pommel corners. The scabbard decorative chased silver set with turquoise stones . Total length 15 inches. Very good condition. Minor pitted spots and blackened areas on the blade. Few turquoise stones are missing. |
