Very Good Moro Kris with Damascus Blade - 6048

This is a very good and old Moro Kris, probably early 19 century. The waving blade is 22 inches long, beautifully constructed from a pattern welded (Damascus) core, cold welded between high carbon steel edges. The welded pattern is reminding that of a Twisted Star common on Turkish swords. The grip is Ivory bound with braided black fibers and the clamp securing the blade is silver. Good condition. No scabbard. Minor pitted area on the blade and the very tip of the pommel is broken since very long time (judging from the patina). Altogether an excellent sword and one of quality. |
