This fine long gun is aToradar an Indian Matchlock probably late 18 C. 44 inches heavy barrel lavishly decorated with gold koftgari work and signed (In English letters) DATIA STATE , most probably referring to the town of DATIA in the state of Madhya Pradesh, India. The barrel is mounted to the stock with chasede silver bands and silver wires. The steel side plates are also richly decorated with gold koftgari work. Chased silver cover on the lock. Chiseled muzzle. Total length 63 inches. Very good condition. All parts in working order.
