This unusual short sword is coming from West Africa, most probably of the Fon people of Dahomey (Today the Republic of Benin). Blade is 16 inches long, thick and up curving to almost a full circle at the tip. Wood handle covered entirely with silver. Total length 20 ½ inches. Very good condition. Light nicks on the edge. A rare sword.
