This Short sword / dagger is coming from Zaire, Africa, probably from the Boa people, early 20 C. Well forged blade, pierced and very nicely engraved with a dense geometrical pattern. Wood handle finely bound with copper strip all around. Blade length 14 inches, total length 16 ½ inches. Very good condition. Good original patina on the steel and on the copper binding. Minor forging flaws.
