This fine dagger is 19 C. Indian in style but may be of European making. The blade is 8 inches long, very well made from high carbon steel. The grips are ivory and the tang and hilt collar brass. Original wood scabbard with velvet cover and silver tip, all very Indian in style and materials. Total length 13 ½ inches. Very good plus condition. The velvet cover and silver tip are later. It is most probably a custom order made in Europe for the Indian market or for a European officer servicing in India.
