Fine Kattar Push Dagger - 10246


This fine Kattar push dagger is Indian late 18- early 19 C. Massive blade forged from pattern welded steel, with central hollow rib containing many steel balls free to move in the cavity channel (Sometimes referred to as Tears of the wounded warriors . The upper edges of the blade are chiseled as styled tigers (??). The side bars and cross bars are chiseled with animals hunters and demons figures all richly washed in gold and silver. Blade 9 ½, total length 18 inches, handle width 3 inches. Very good condition. Minor losses to the gold/silver wash. No scabbard.
