Very Rare Fine and Unusual Tuareg Dagger from West Africa - 10236


This unusual fine dagger is a ceremonial piece of the Tuareg people from the west Sahara. Early to mid 20 C. and of good quality. Blade 8 inches of unusual split shape with a central ring shaped spike and two side blades, all very delicately engraved with geometrical design. The hilt is composed of very finely engraved brass, silver and copper sectors and wood / ivory grip with silver wire inlay, all very finely executed. Total length 16 inches. Very good plus condition. No scabbard. A very fine and rare item.
