This Khanjar dagger is Persian, late Qajar period, mid 19 C. The blade is forged from very good Wootz (Damascus, watered) steel of nigh contrast pattern, and reinforced edges. Whole steel grip chiseled with human faces, hunting scenes, birds and flowers in a classical Qajar style. Blade length 11 ½ inches. Total length 18 inches. Very good condition.
