This Yataghan is dated in silver inlay on its blade tp 1227 (1812 in the Gregorian calendar). Classical blade shape 26 inches long richly decorated with silver inlay (true inlay) with inscription in Arabic letters, date and floral decoration. Chased silver handle and bolsters (with silver proof mark). Wood scabbard covered with tolled leather with silver locket and heavy lion shaped silver tip. Total length 32 ½ inches. Very good condition. The leather cover is a later replacement.
