A very unusual Arab – Indian dagger. The style, sizes and shape as well as the scabbard construction is Arab. The quality, Materials and workmanship are from India. The Wootz blade is curved double edge 6 ½ inches long with a central fuller (In contrary to the central raised rib found on most Arab jambiya daggers). The hilt is elephant Ivory (Also not common on Arab Jambiya). The scabbard is covered with the original leather with an Indian style brass tip. Good condition. Minor pitted spots on the blade, several age cracks on the ivory and a re-glued piece on the rear side of the grip (very professionally done). Very attractive and unusual piece.
