This short knife in the shape of a small Yataghan is of Turkish origin, early to mid 19 C also known as Bichaq. its single edge blade is 8 inches long, finely forged from pattern welded steel in the pattern known as Turkish Ribbon, made from two layers of twisted steel bars. The Handle as well as the scabbard are made of silver plated pewter. Total length 13 inches. Very good condition. The silver plating of the handle is almost erased,
