Fine Early Qama Dagger with Green Ivory Grips - 10167


Up for sale is this rare and fine Qama dagger, most probably Georgian, mid to late 19 C. Well forged fine blade with off centered fullers, 14 1/2 inches long 2 inches wide, decorated on one face with fine gold koftgari decoration. Walrus ivory grips dyed green. Dome shaped steel rivets and rosettes plates with gold koftgari decoration and also similar decoration on the tang edges. Total length 19 1/2 inches. Very good condition. The walrus grips are cracked (as commonly happen to dyed grips).
