This type of long Jambiya dagger is common in the Western regions of Arabia, Hijaz and Asir. Sometimes it is referred to by collectors as Wahabite style. This specific one is coming from our private collection. It is long, 20 1/2 inches blade, of good quality steel, well forged with a short fuller. Massive horn handle with silver round pieces and silver covered pommel. Total length 26 inches, rather a short sword than a dagger. Very good condition. No scabbard. A rare 19 C. variant of this Arabic dagger.
