This is aToradar an Indian Matchlock gun, probably late 18 to early 19 C. 47 inches barrel forged from fine twisted steel (Damascus), marked with a maker mark and decorated with gold inlay work (worn). Wood stock mounted with steel plates, decorated with ivory inserts and ivory butt . Chiseled muzzle. The barrel is reinforced to the stock with bands of leather strips. Total length 62 inches. Very good condition. The barrel looks older from the stock and it is probably a secondary use for it. The wood stock is repaired at the tip and the leather binding strips are later. All parts in working order.
