This is a rare and original 18 C. steel ingot from India, made of wootz, already partially forged to a long ingot shape, ready to be traded and forged into a wootz blade. 950 Grams weight, 111/2 inches long, 1 1/2 – 2 inches wide and 1/2 inch thick. One face of the ingot was partially polished and etched to show the clear wootz structure. One of the sides is marked with an armory mark. Unique piece for the weapon collector, steel researcher or blade smith expert.
