This Shamshir is Persian, with 18 C. Wootz blade signed in a Gold inlaid medallion and a gold inlaid Baduh (magic square). Blade length 30 inches. Steel cross guar finely decorated with gold koftgari work. Later made horn grip in a Turkish style (Bulbous down curving pommel). Original leather covered scabbard with steel belt carrying bands also finely inlaid with gold. Total length 35 inches. Very good condition. Minor losses to the gold inlay work.
