Up for sale is this unusually long Seme, the classical sword of the Massai people of East Africa. 28 inches long, well forged blade widening toward the tip in a spear point shape, and with a strong central rib. Hide covered handle and scabbard with its original leather belt. Total length 34 inches (compared to 26 inches in the common ones). This is the real authentic Massai sword, not one of the many traps sold to the tourist visiting Kenya and the neighboring countries. Very good condition. Lightly distorted and minor forging flaws on the blade. Half of the carrying belt is missing.
