This very fine set is Persian, Qajar period, second half of the 19 C. The set includes a big round shield and hand armor ( Bazu Band). Both beautifully chiseled with fine details and inlaid with gold decoration. The shield also has an Arabic letters inscriptions all around inlaid in silver koftgari work. Inner side with original fabric padding on the shield. Shield 20 Inches diameter. Bazu band 12 inches. Very good condition. Handle of the shield are missing. Inner fabric worn.
