One of the rarest forms of daggers from the Indian arsenal, a member of a class of daggers known as Chillanum . Daggers in this class may take various shapes but all share the typical re-curving blade. This one is probably 16 C. from central or south India. 10 inches re-curving blade, bronze handle and D guard. Total length 15 inches. Good condition to age. Blade lightly pitted with heavy patina. Bronze handle with a beautiful untouched green patina. A rare dagger.
