Fine Kard Knife from Bukhara, Uzbekistan - 9996

This fine Kard knife is coming from Bukhara, Uzbekistan, mid 19 C. The blade is of classical Bukhara shape, forged from sham like wootz of low contrast pattern, with a narrow fuller just below the spine. The handle is cut from a single piece of dark colored rhino horn. Silver bolsters with niello design and with a ring set with turquoise stones just above it. The wood scabbard comes with its original red fabric and big chased silver locket and chape. The locket top is also set with turquoise stones similar to the bolster. The scabbard comes also with the original colored fabric belt attachment. Blade 8 inches. Total 14 inches. Very good condition. Few turquoise stones missing. The silver locket has a minor damage in its corner. Scabbard fabric is lightly worn. |
