The Genoui, is a rare variant of the classical Moroccan ‘Koumaya’ curved dagger with straight blade. The name literally means from Genoa, probably to indicate its ancient source. The straight 14 inches blade is cut from an old sword and fitted with a massive Rhino horn handle. The scabbard is wood covered with engraved white metal in front and brass at the back. Total length 19 inches. Very good condition. Very good age patina on the horn handle. Dents on the scabbard.
