This very good Arab Jambiya Dagger is known as Mecca style, with a silver scabbard and uprising scabbard tip. Scabbard dated to 1336 (1927 in the Gregorian calendar), quite early for these type of daggers. The blade is of good quality, 8 1/2 inches long 2 1/4 inches wide, double edge with a central rib. The grip is wood, set with silver filigree decoration and silver rosettes. The scabbard heavy filigree and pierced silver. Total length 13 inches. Very good condition. Dents and repairs on the scabbard back.
