Up for sale is this very good Jambiya dagger, from Yemen. The blade and rhino horn hilt are old, probably early 19 C. They mounted into a later, probably very early 20 C. scabbard, as happen so many times with similar items from Yemen. Blade of finely forged steel, 8 inches long, with a pronounced central rib. Rhino horn grip with dark age patina. Scabbard is a finely made from heavy silver with granulation and filigree decoration work. Total length 15 1/2 inches. Very good condition. Minor chips on the handle and minor damage to the scabbard rear side.
