This dagger is Turkish with a fine slender wootz blade slightly curved with a pronounced central rib, with high contrast very dense pattern. Finely carved walrus handle entirely carved from the inner core of a walrus tusk. Later scabbard with chased brass mounts. Blade length 9 1/2 inches. Total length 14 1/2 inches. Very good condition. Minor shallow pitted spots on the blade. Blade and handle 18 C. Scabbard late 19 C.
