Palestinian / Jordanian Bedouin Dagger Shibriya - 9724


A typical good example of the Bedouin side dagger locally known as Shibriya. All men carry it and it is very popular between the Bedouin tribes residing in Israel and in Jordan. The blade is short, 6 inches, re-curving and double edged with an acute tip. The grip as well as the scabbard are covered with engraved white metal on the front side and iron sheet on the rear side. The scabbard is set with a belt loop at the rear side. Total length 11 inches. Very good condition. A real authentic dagger, mid 20 C.
