This Turkish Yatghan sword employs an 18C. blade 25 inches long, forged from pattern welded steel (Damascus) in the pattern known as Tirkish ribbon: 6 layers of twisted steel rods forge welded between high carbon steel edge and spine. The blade is richly decorated with silver inlay (true inlay) . Later horn grips with straight side pommel ears and silver bolsters and grip strap. Total length 33 inches. Very good condition. Minor edge nicks and chips on the horn grips. The grip strap and the bolsters are restored. No scabbard.
