This sword is a Turkish Shamshir, mid 19 C. with acurved single edge blade 30 inches long, forged from wootz of low contrast (may be sham). Horn grips with brass cross guard and grip strap. Scabbard with original fabric cover and big chased brass mounts . Total length 38 inches. Very good condition. Blade with shallow pitted spots and nicked edge. Dents to the brass mounts. Old repairs on the grips.
