From our private collection we offer for sale this fine small Karud dagger, north India, early 19 C. The blade is single edge with pronounced T spine, forged from fine Wootz (Damascus, watered) steel. Steel bolsters and grip strap finely decorated with gold koftgari work. Original scabbard covered with fine green velvet fabric and finely embroidered with golden threads. Blade length 6 inches. Total length 9 1/2 inches. Fine small item.
