Swords for boys and / or youngsters were made in India and always included all details of full size swords. Up for sale is this rare, interesting and very good collection including 7 swords made for boys. All Indian, late 18 to mid 19 C. Blades are 15 to 22 inches long. Total length 18 to 26 inches. One sword has a wootz blade and two others has laminated blades. The handles are all miniaturized full scale handles. Three of the handles are of high quality inlaid with silver and gold, the others are steel with traces of silver plating. The handle of the central sword with the straight blade is silver plated copper. Three of the swords has their original scabbards with fabric cover (not shown). Very good condition with very minor nicks and damages on few blades. A rare collection.
