This rare version of short sword / long knife is early 20 C., coming from the Toba Batak people from Sumatra. The single edge blade is 18 inches long, somewhat crudely forged, with a cast bras handle in the shape of a sitting man. The scabbard nouth is also cast brass of the same shape. The scabbard is wood bound with brass bands. Total length 25 inches. Very good condition. Crack in the cast brass of the handle. Rare sword
