Good Execution Keris Sword, Sumatra - 9665


An Execution Keris dagger / sword from Sumatra. This rare type of Keris was used to execute criminals. The long narrow blade was inserted above the collarbone of the sitting executed person and pushed down directly into the heart, causing instant death. The blade of this specific Keris is 17 1/2 inches long, narrow but sturdy. The blade is forged from pamor steel. The hilt is finely carved from hardwood painted black. Silver mendak (new). Total length 21 inches. Very good condition. Minor pitted spots on the blade. No scabbard. A good item at a very reasonable price.
