This fine short sword has a classical shape blade 14 inches long with pronounced T spine. The blade is forged from fine Wootz (Damacus, Watered) steel of dark high contrast pattern and richly decorated with gold koftgari work on the blade base. Steel bolsters and grip strap also richly inlaid with gold. Elephant ivory grips set with green stones. Original leather covered scabbard with faceted steel tip. Total length 22 inches. Very good condition. Darkened areas on the blade (but not pitted). Very minor losses to the gold decoration.
